wow...... what's happened to xanga???? yes, I haven't been around here for a year and a half... jeepers that's aLONG time! But I don't even recognize xanga anymore, and I'm not sure I know how to navigate it all that well.

But for the one or two of you who don't get updated via Facebook, I thought I'd make a post here. By the way... if you don't have Facebook, you really NEED to get one! lol  

So, in the last post I was

• working at starbucks,
• hinting at wanting to find Mr Right,
• and celebrating a couple of my dear friends getting married.

And in this post.... I'm

• not working at starbucks
• not looking for Mr Right anymore (being that I've FOUND him!!!!)
• and I'm celebrating my own marriage!!

Needless to say, much has changed! All for the very, VERY good.

I work for a communications/advertisement firm: HollandSimpson. I'm the receptionist; but I basically do all kinds of things from proofing and editing written letters and books, to proofing radio and tv programing, to answering phones, making coffee, and entering financial stuffs. It's a great job for me and one of my bosses would like to "groom" me to dive deeper into some of the actual writing. Very exciting. Very much a blessing from God to work here. I'm soooo glad not to be at Starbucks anymore!

And then, there's Michael. My hubby-to-be. He proposed on December 25th 2007 and we're gettin' hitched on September, 7th 2008... which is in like 145 days! Yipppeeee!

We met at church one evening, and there was def a connection.  I saw him and thought, "Why haven't I met HIM before" and by the end of the evening of haning out with mutual friends, he got my number and the rest is history.  It was basically "love" at first sight. I can't wait to marry him!!!

 well hello everyone i guess i'm a sucker for nice comments. I decided that i should probably post a blog since it has been 2 months since i abandoned xanga for myspace. Besides... it looks like xanga got waaay cooler with new features and such while i was away. That's fun.

I'm not sure how regular of an occurrence i'll make this, but let's see if i can give you the highlights of my so called life of late.  

I'm still working at starbucks! and I still LOVE it! 

I had a second job, but it was boring and the drive was LOONG... so i quit. Tomorrow is my last day. YAY!

I've been trying to play the guitar more often.... the pink hair was a one time thing though. I'd totally go pink for real if they'd allow it at Starbucks... but they don't.

A couple of my dear friends have tied the knot in the past month.

For Melissa's wedding, I was her Maid of Honor and my sisters were some of the brides' maids.

Then Michelle's wedding was this past weekend in Austin, and it was like a four-day party!!! The fun just never stopped!

Many of my Taiwan friends came to Austin for the wedding and it was GRAND hanging out with them!!! I love you Joonz and Wes and Andrew and Jess and Grace and Tasha!!!! I missed all my other Taiwan peeps... sigh.

Humm... so other than that... I've started to get involved in my new church, Gateway, which has been wonderful. It's a church of about 8,000 people, but it's INCREDIBLE. It doesn't feel that big, it's easy to get connected and the worship and preaching are DYNAMIC! I'm starting to meet people and go to a Bible study with some other girls, which has has been a huge blessing for me.

I'm taking dance lessons. Not just any kind of dance... HIP HOP dance. Last night i'd have sworn i was in the break dance class though. I was learning moves that I did NOT sign up for LOL! It's such a blast. I can't even begin to explain how much i LOVE to dance!

I suppose that basically updates you on my life. It's not too complicated right now. I'm still wondering about my future and what I should be doing with myself.... i'm thinking about taking next year to focus on my Russian and get certified as an official translator... .we'll see if that's what God wants. Oh, and I'm stilll looking for Mr. Right, so if you see him, direct him my way, k? thanks.

Alrighty.. i'm outta here for now. I need my beauty sleep... especially after the late nights i pulled partying in Austin this weekend.
